The Crystal Marathon is a unique running experience that takes place 500 meters underground in the Merkers Adventure Mine. Participants complete 42 km in 13 laps of 3.25 km at a constant 21° Celsius and with an elevation gain of 750 meters. To navigate the course, runners wear bicycle helmets and headlamps. The marathon is organized in cooperation with the Barchfeld Triathlon Club and offers an exciting and challenging environment.
