The Koberstädter Forest Marathon has been held every year since 1979 on the last Sunday in August in Egelsbach and is a traditional scenic run. In its 45th edition, participants can choose to run 5 km, 10 km, or the half marathon. The course takes runners through well-maintained forest paths with gently rolling terrain and approximately 100 meters of elevation gain per 10 km, starting and finishing at the SGE Stadium. Aid stations are available every 5 km, and the routes are clearly marked.
