The Karlsbad Volkslauf has been firmly established in the calendar of many runners for over three decades and attracts numerous participants again this year. Around the SVL Sports Park, 5 or 10 km options are offered, with the challenging courses initially leading along paved paths into the nearby forest, where runners can enjoy the autumn woods. From October 26 to November 8, individuals can run either solo or together on November 10, with the awards for all group classifications also taking place on November 10.
Highlights
- More than 800 entries were submitted – of which well over half were in the youth races – the 2km Sparkassen Schülerlauf and the 400m Bambinilauf, which made its debut last year.
- Mayor Björn Kornmüller praised the excellent organization and the numerous runners who showed up despite the rain.
- In this field, Roland Golderer (SV Oberkollbach) was able to secure victory in 36:34, successfully defending his title from the previous year.
