The International City Run Saarburg was first held on July 6, 1991, and has since developed into a popular event featuring one of the most scenic courses in the region. The picturesque downtown of Saarburg attracts around 800 participants each year, who can take part in both the 10 km main race for ambitious runners and the shorter fun run over 5.3 km. The start and finish of the races are located at the former bus station near the leisure and indoor swimming pool.
