Race description
The International Christmas Cross Country Race is a cross-country event held shortly before Christmas at the Ravensberger Stadium in Borgholzhausen. The event is organized by LCS Olbä and offers various distances, including 16 km, 10 km, 5 km, as well as a 7.5 km walking/nordic walking route. The 16 km course consists of two laps with partly hilly terrain around Borgholzhausen and a loop around Barenberg, which is run twice. The course is a genuine cross-country challenge with ascents and descents, with start and finish sections on paved paths where spikes are not allowed. The race attracts a diverse field of participants, from elite runners to recreational and older runners as well as walkers.
