The Hühnerbrückenlauf owes its name to a small, narrow bridge that crosses the Herzhorner Rhin, the Hühnerbrücke. The almost five-kilometer Hühnerbrückenrunde is primarily included in the training schedule of nearly every Herzhorner handball team during the season preparation. Since its inception in 2006, the run has gained recognition and popularity, and the number of participants has steadily increased. Welcome to the 17th Hühnerbrückenlauf on May 3, 2024, in Herzhorn!

Highlights

  • The Hühnerbrückenrunde is used by numerous walkers, cyclists, hikers, joggers, and inline skaters for their activities.
  • The Hühnerbrückenlauf was initiated in 2006 by the 1st Ladies of MTV Herzhorn and has been organized by the Friends of MTV Herzhorn since 2014.
  • The number of participants increased from 130 athletes in the first race in 2006 to over 300 in 2017.
