Race description
The Hospizlauf Wagrien-Fehmarn is an 85 km trail run that starts in Oldenburg in Holstein and takes place in September. The race is a small ultra event with a participant limit of 100 runners and a time limit of 13 hours. The course mainly runs on bike paths and field paths, with about 60% asphalt, 30% firm sandy paths, and the rest consisting of single trails and approximately 800 meters of sandy beach. Runners pass the Fehmarnsund Bridge and are supported at aid stations on piers. With each registration, the Hospiz Wagrien-Fehmarn e.V. support association is also supported, which is working towards establishing a hospice in Oldenburg.
