The Hopfengarten Cup Run in the southern part of the state capital Magdeburg is being organized for the 43rd time this year by HSV Medizin Magdeburg. This traditional running event in Saxony-Anhalt features distances of 800 m, 2.4 km, 5.1 km, and 10.1 km, taking participants through the beautiful residential area of Hopfengarten. Residents along the 5.1 km loop provide applause and refreshments, especially when temperatures rise above 20 degrees. At the finish line, "finishers" can expect drinks, fruit, and sandwiches.
