On February 8, 2025, the Regional Cross Country Championships 2024 for the LVN Region Mitte took place at the Kleinenbroich sports field. In excellent weather conditions, 177 cross-country runners, including 15 athletes from the organizing club, participated. The event began with the U12 races over 1.5 km, followed by the U14 races over 2.3 km and the main race for the seniors over 3.7 km. Notably, bronze medals were won by both Timon in the M10 category and Jens Fischer in the men's class.

Highlights

  • Timon secured 3rd place and the bronze medal in the M10 age group at the regional competitions.
  • The WJ U14 team, featuring Charlotte T. (7th place), Melina (10th place), and Anna (12th place), achieved 3rd place in the team standings, thus winning the bronze medal.
  • Coach Jens Fischer (LAZ Mönchengladbach) also secured the bronze position in the men's category in the 3.7 km race for active runners.
