On August 2, 2025, the 18th Waldeck-Frankenberger Firefighter Run will take place in Hemfurth-Edersee, where firefighters and members from various fire departments can participate. In cooperation with TSV 08 Hemfurth-Edersee, a firefighter run will be offered with classifications in all age groups according to DLV guidelines. Each participant will receive a certificate, and the fastest will be awarded a medal. The races will take place over distances of 400 m, 1,000 m, 2,000 m, 5,000 m, and 10,000 m, and every participant will also automatically be part of the 37th Hemfurth-Edersee Evening Run.
