On April 12, 2026, the 42.195-kilometer running course will once again transform into the largest "street festival of the city"! We are delighted to host the German Marathon Championships, which is a strong sign of trust in our organization and the significance of running in Hanover. The marathon weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 11, with the traditional family and youth day, as well as an integrative and inclusive participation and play program around the New Town Hall in the heart of Hanover. New this year is the Minithon over 4.2 km, offering a street running experience for beginners and young runners!

- The largest running event in Lower Saxony offers the perfect challenge for everyone: marathon, half marathon, 10 km run, Nordic walking, and a marathon relay.
- In 2025, over 55 action points along the course provided entertainment and emotions for nearly 30,000 runners and about 250,000 spectators.
