Race description
The Hachenburg Lion Run is a traditional race with a family-friendly character, taking place on October 17, 2026, in Hachenburg. The event offers various distances, including a half marathon, 10.5 km run, 6.3 km fun/run team race, as well as children's races. The courses lead through diverse landscapes of the Westerwald with appealing elevation changes and beautiful views. Since 1989, the proceeds from the race have been donated to social projects, giving the race a special social significance.

Additional information
Electronic timing without chip, certificates for all finishers, prizes for class winners, special prize for the largest team participation in the team race. Late registration possible on October 16 from 17:00 and on the event day from 09:00. Refreshments with electrolytes, water, tea, cola, and fruit available on the course and at the finish. Changing and shower facilities available at the round sports hall.
