The Grafschafter Ahrtal Run includes a 5 km and a 10 km race, taking place for the fourth time on June 29. The course begins with an ascent through the Grafschafter Forest up to km 1.4, followed by flat and descending sections until the first refreshment station at the edge of the forest at km 2.5. The 5 km route then follows the return path of the 10 km route (from km 7.5) and features paved terrain as well as sections through vineyards with views of the Ahr Valley.

Highlights

  • The 10 km run has a total elevation gain of about 180 meters, while the 5 km run includes approximately 70 meters of elevation gain.
  • This popular run also offers children's distances of 400 and 1000 meters, as well as a 5 km walking event.
  • The start is in Vettelhoven at the Waldsport facility, organized by the running groups of the clubs SV Dernau, SV Hönningen/Ahr, and Grafschafter SV.
