The Gifhorn Running Day will take place on April 27, 2025, for the 10th time and will start and end at the Flutmulde Sports Center. The runners will make their way over the Wiesendamm into the Gifhorn Heath and the Viehmoor Nature Reserve. The loop course corresponds to a half marathon, which the marathon runners will complete twice. Various running competitions for children and adults will be offered, and the proceeds will go to the youth employment initiative "ready for work."
Highlights
- At 9 o'clock, the marathon runners will start on the 42.2-kilometer course, while a half marathon option is also available.
- In the Bike & Run Marathon and Half Marathon, two athletes can share a bicycle and switch freely during the race.
- The children will be warmed up by two mascots with games and dance before their start at 11:30 AM and will run one to three laps around the sports field, depending on their age.
