Race description

The Gailachtal Run is a 10 km loop course for men, women, walkers, and Nordic walkers that leads through the picturesque Gailachtal. The route exclusively follows gravel and forest paths, starting at the motocross track at Schimmelberg, passing the reservoir, and through the Altmühltal Nature Park, up to the Three-Country Corner of Swabia, Upper Bavaria, and Middle Franconia. Over 80 participants made their way to Warching on Easter Sunday and experienced an unforgettable competition.

Highlights

  • The route leads from the motocross area of MV Warching through the Gailachtal to the Three-Country Corner of Swabia, Upper Bavaria, and Franconia, and back again.
  • Matthias Bogner won with a time of 36:03 minutes, followed by Marcel Frank (36:59 minutes) and Kai Schreiber (37:21 minutes).
  • In the women's category, Martina Bickelein dominated with a time of 42:30 minutes, followed by Christine Lernhard (43:10 minutes) and Marie Wagner (46:15 minutes).
