The Fehmarn Marathon is a popular running event on the third largest island in Germany. The start and finish of the main race course are located at the sports field of the island school in the main town of Burg on Fehmarn. Runners can expect a flat circuit that is enhanced by the coastal climate and the stunning views of the Baltic Sea. Participants traverse the eastern part of the island, with about 70% of the running route consisting of asphalt, supplemented by dike paths and uneven field trails. The marathon course goes through Neue Tiefe, Burgtiefe, the southern coast to Staberhuk, and back to Burg.

Highlights
