The EXD Trailrun, which has been one of the cross highlights in the German multisport calendar since 1998, offers a varied course of approximately 8.3 km for the Full run and about 4.4 km for the Light run. The course features a mix of single trails and wide forest paths, including some elevation gain. Since 2024, the EXD Trailrun has been part of the Regio X-Challenge, and the Rheinland Nachwuchs Cup has also been reactivated.
