The Essen Lake Run, organized by Team-Essen 99 e.V., is popular for good reason. 14.2 flat kilometers, mostly run on asphalt, lead along the picturesque northern shore of Lake Baldeney, through a bird sanctuary, over bridges, and back again. A course that not only challenges the legs but also delights the eye. A total of 211 runners took to the start and enjoyed this perfectly organized event.
