The Emden Matjeslauf is a popular running event that will take place for the 33rd time on May 31, 2025. The measured circuit, certified by the DLV, offers distances starting from 2,500 meters and is relevant for the Niedersachsen best lists for the 5 km and 10 km races. The route takes runners through the city center of Emden and past the maritime Ratsdelft, making this run a special experience. Since 1990, the number of participants has increased from around 160 to thousands of runners.
