The EGE City Run in Verl is the largest race in the Gütersloh district and includes several distances, such as the Böttcher Bambini Run (500m), the Sparkasse Student Run (1.8km), the Volksbank Individual Run (5km), the Energieversum Company & Team Run (5km), and the main race over 10km. The event starts at 4:30 PM with the opening of the registration office in the gym of Marienschule and ends with the award ceremonies for the top three places in each category. Nearly 2,400 finishers demonstrate the popularity of the EGE City Run, with new personal bests also being set.
