As part of the Schwalm-Eder Running Cup, this year's village run in Wiera will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025! The Bambini run for the youngest participants starts at 10 AM, followed by the children's and youth races over 600 and 1200 meters starting at 10:05 AM. The main race and open run will begin at 11 AM on a course of 5 or 10 kilometers, which leads approximately 50% along a forest path in the area of the burial mounds. According to race official Dirk Kaltschnee, the course is pleasant to run even in higher temperatures, as it runs in the shade of the trees.
