The Deister Arschgeweih Marathon is a challenging marathon route of 42.2 km with 1200 meters of elevation gain, mostly running along wide, paved forest paths in deciduous and coniferous woods. For the particularly endurance-oriented, there is the option to complete an additional 7.8 km loop with 250 meters of elevation gain, which will be rewarded with an entry in the statistics and a special surprise. The course is unmarked, and participants must navigate independently. The final track will be announced in the briefing one week before the race.
