Since its premiere in 2005, the Zülpich Chlodwig Run has become a staple in the sports calendar of the Euskirchen district. Thanks to the participation of schools from the city area, the Chlodwig Run, with more than 1,500 participants, is one of the most popular running events in the region. The 19th Zülpich Chlodwig Run will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in the Zülpich Lake Park, as a change of course is necessary due to road construction in the city center. The various running routes wind through the springtime park along the lakeshore and past the model gardens.

- The Zülpich Chlodwig Run is one of the most popular running events in the region, with over 1,400 participants in the most recent edition.
- The centerpiece of the event is the approximately 10 km race as part of the Eifelcup running series, accompanied by a roughly 5 km fun run and numerous races for students and youth.
