The Chiemgau Trail Run has been taking place since 2017 in the heart of the Achental valley in the municipality of Marquartstein. With the first weekend in May, we kick off the trail running season in the Bavarian Alps. There are four distances to choose from: S – 10.9 km, M – 21.5 km, L – 38.4 km, and XL – 61.4 km. The classic is the L distance, which starts on May 10 at 7:30 AM in the spa park of Marquartstein and takes runners through picturesque landscapes and technical trails.
Highlights
- On the first "flowy" trails, you'll be running towards Vorderalm this year, where the first aid station awaits you.
- After a quick downhill and technical trails, you pass through Marquartstein, while the audience cheers you on enthusiastically.
- The final ascent to the Hochplatte presents a challenging course and rewards runners with a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view.
