Race description
The CANOSSA Benefiz Mountain Run® in Bad Harzburg is a challenging charity run through the Harz National Park, taking place on September 20, 2026. Participants can complete the course by running, walking, or hiking, ending at the CANOSSA pillar on Burgberg. The race promotes inclusive children's and youth work in the Goslar district and combines sporting challenge with social engagement. After the race, participants can enjoy a festive after-race event with music, refreshments, and an award ceremony.

Race number distribution begins at 8:30 a.m. upon signing a liability waiver. Two courses: 12 km run (start at 10:00 a.m.) for runners aged 16 and above, and 6 km run (start at 10:30 a.m.) for runners, walkers, and hikers aged 10 and above. No course signage due to nature conservation; navigation via course marshals and Harz-Club signs. After the race, music and refreshments on Burgberg, award ceremony around 12:00 p.m. with a unique indulgence certificate for all participants. Cable car ascent available for a donation of at least 30 euros. Last cable car descent at 6:00 p.m. The race is open to runners, walkers, and hikers from age 10. There are no course signs, only markings, and the event promotes environmental protection by leaving no waste in nature. The event concludes with a program including music and catering on Burgberg.
