Since its inaugural event in 1986, the Burg-Lauf has enjoyed unwavering popularity. Every year, the running event organized by TSG Eppstein attracts up to 500 runners and numerous spectators to the castle town to circle the medieval castle. The course of 7,777 meters, which is tailored to the topographical conditions, offers a sporting challenge that is enhanced by personal best times, cheers from the crowd, the finish line experience, and the famous cake stand. On June 27, 2025, the main race will take place at 7:30 PM, and the Eppstein student relay will start at 7:20 PM.
