The Breitunger Pleßlauf will take place on August 17, 2025, in its 22nd edition and has attracted more than 10,000 participants to the foot of the Breitunger cult mountain, the Pleß, since 2004. Organized by SV Lauftreff Breitungen e.V., this event combines over 20 years of fun run tradition in the Werratal region. Participants can choose from various distances: 30 km, 21.1 km, 10.7 km, 6 km, as well as children's races over 3 km and 1 km. Additionally, a Nordic walking route of 10.7 km is offered.
Highlights
- The 30 km race starts at 09:00 AM and includes approximately 700 meters of elevation gain, with the Pleß being crossed twice.
- The winners of the main races receive trophies and vouchers, while the "largest participating club" and the "largest participating children's group" are honored with a trophy.
- Each participant will receive a well-filled starter bag, which includes a finisher medal and small gifts from sponsors.
