On October 10, 2026, the 22nd BKK Walking event will take place at Baldeneysee with a mini-marathon in Essen. This competition, organized by Tusem Essen-Margarethenhöhe, offers walkers and Nordic walkers the opportunity to complete a 15 km loop around the scenic Baldeneysee or alternatively an 8.5 km loop along the northern shore.
