The 24th Mountain Cable Car Run will take place on June 1, 2025, starting at 9:55 AM at the valley station in Obstfelderschmiede. The event is registered with the Thuringian Athletics Association and the Thuringian State Sports Federation, organized by LAV Saale-Rennsteig e.V. There are various distances, including a 4.1 km run, as well as walking and Nordic walking routes that follow the steep mountain cable car course with an elevation difference of 323 m.
