The 19th Benin Charity Run will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Hirzweiler and is a collaboration with AKTION PALCA – Municipality of Illingen - LLG Wustweiler. The scenic route offers a panoramic view over the entire Illtal and mostly runs along an asphalted field path, starting from the village forest hall in Hirzweiler towards Urexweiler to the dog park and back. Participants can expect a rich cake buffet, grilled sausages, and a selection of beverages at the village forest hall. The proceeds from the event will be used for aid projects in Benin.
Highlights
- There is something for everyone: the Bambini run over 500 m, the student run over 2 km, the open run for everyone over 5 km, the main run over 10 km, as well as a walking competition over 5 km.
- The awards ceremony will take place in the village forest hall, where a lavish cake buffet will also be available.
- The Benin Run is a special event where all of Illingen runs to provide underprivileged children in Toviklin with a complete education.
