The 19th Benin Charity Run will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Hirzweiler and is a collaboration with AKTION PALCA – Municipality of Illingen - LLG Wustweiler. The scenic and varied route offers a panoramic view over the entire Illtal and mostly runs on an asphalted field path. The start and finish will be at the Dorfwaldhalle in Hirzweiler, where a rich cake buffet and grilled sausages will await the participants. The proceeds from the event will be used by the AG Benin for aid projects in Benin.
Highlights
- There’s something for everyone: the Bambini run over 500 meters, the student run over 2 kilometers, the open run for everyone over 5 kilometers, as well as the main race over 10 kilometers and a walking competition over 5 kilometers.
- The awards ceremony will also take place in the village forest hall, where a selection of drinks will be provided.
- The Benin Run is something very special, as the entire community of Illingen runs to provide underprivileged children in Toviklin with a complete education!
