The Bad Harzburger Mountain Marathon is a traditional running event at the gateway to the Harz, taking place every year on Pentecost Saturday. Runners and (Nordic) walkers can take on the challenge of the active, fit run, and half or full marathon on various routes. Participants enjoy the forested nature of the Harz and experience ascents of up to 618 meters, offering a direct view of the Brocken. The start and finish are located at the racetrack of the Harzburger Racing Club, which gives the event a unique touch.
