"Warm" welcome to the homepage of the Bad Harzburger Mountain Marathon, a traditional running event at the gateway to the Harz. Every year on Pentecost Saturday, both runners and (Nordic) walkers can take on the challenge of Bambini, introductory, active, fitness, half-marathon, and marathon races. All participants can enjoy the forested nature of the Harz around Bad Harzburg, while the half and marathon routes offer a direct view of the Brocken, the legendary mountain in the Harz. The start and finish are located at the Harzburger Racing Club's racecourse, which gives the event a unique touch.
Highlights
- The event offers a variety of courses for different performance levels, including marathon, half marathon, fitness course, and active course.
- The half and marathon course allows for an elevation gain of up to 618 meters above sea level with a direct view of the Brocken.
- The route is moderately challenging and weather-dependent, ideal for runners and hikers who want to enjoy nature.
