Over 4000 runners set off on Wednesday evening into the summer holidays at the Göttingen Old Town Run. This major event offers sports, fun, a sense of community – and also a bit of samba. The cafés along Weender Straße fill up as the participants approach the Gänseliesel. At the corner of Jüdenstraße, just before the finish line, a drumming group ensures that the runners tackle the final steps with renewed energy.
