Every year – at the opening of the Old Town Festival in Lauf a.d. Pegnitz on the last weekend of June – the Old Town Festival Run takes place on Friday evening and traditionally kicks off the "largest class reunion in the world." The start is at 6 PM at the water bridge, and the finish line is at the Nuremberg Gate. There is a 10 km main race (circuit course, officially measured) with a turnaround point at the Lebenshilfe in Schönberg, as well as a 5 km fun run and Nordic walking with a turnaround point on Ottensooser Straße.

Highlights

  • The race recorded a new record with 467 participants.
  • One euro was donated to Lebenshilfe for each registration, resulting in a total donation of 500 euros.
  • The 10 km course is officially measured and therefore eligible for rankings (approximately 300 m of field path, about 1 km of gravel path).
