The Altköniglauf is a DLV-approved public run over 10 km and 21.1 km, organized by MTV Kronberg on September 23, 2018. The running routes take participants along wide forest paths through the Taunus at the foot of Altkönig and are well marked. The undulating 10 km route features an elevation gain of 150 meters, while the hilly 21.1 km route offers 350 meters of elevation gain, with the highest point reaching 430 m above sea level after about 9 km. Additionally, there are youth races over 1050 m, a children's race over 350 m, as well as walking and Nordic walking options.
