Race description
The AHRTuS Run is a club-organized race day above Calvary Hill in Ahrweiler, prepared by volunteers from TuS Ahrweiler in Quarzkaul. The program begins with races for toddlers, children, and adolescents, followed by 5 km and 10 km runs as well as a 6.2 km Nordic walking route. The adult course mainly runs through shady forest paths and narrow trails with some elevation, including a climb through Maibachklämmchen with numerous wooden bridges. The 10 km race is also the final event of the Ahrtal-TEAM-Cup, where club teams compete for the last points. The event combines a family-friendly atmosphere with sporting competition and offers medals for children, a bouncy castle, a play bus, and live music at the start and finish areas.
