On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Alfeld will welcome summer with the 14th Bernd Meyer Relay Marathon in the city center. The event takes place on a circuit of approximately 3 km, which will be run twice. The children's race starts at 10:30 AM for girls and at 10:45 AM for boys, followed by the adult race at 11:15 AM. The event is organized by the running clubs LAV Alfeld, Delligser SC, MTV Röllinghausen, and TSV Warzen, supported by the sports office of the city of Alfeld (Leine).
