The Evening Canal Run Rethmar takes place on June 1, 2024, in Sehnde and offers measured 5 km and 10 km courses that are eligible for rankings and feature a slight cross-country character. The half marathon course has a greater proportion of cross-country elements and leads, among other places, over the Rethmar golf course and the green potash heap of Sehnde. The event starts at 5 PM at the sports grounds of MTV Rethmar and offers a picturesque evening atmosphere along the canal.
Highlights
- The routes lead through nature, avoid public roads, and offer a wonderful evening atmosphere with the setting sun over the canal – provided the weather cooperates.
- The half marathon course also has a cross-country character, not running over cobblestones, but along canal paths, partly through field and agricultural paths, and approximately 2,500 meters over excellent golf course fairways.
- The course should definitely not be run with competition track shoes; it can be comfortably navigated with regular "everyday running shoes" for trails and terrain.
