6. Fränkischer Backyard Ultra

The Franconian Backyard Ultra is a unique ultra race in the "Backyard Ultra" format with a 6.7 km loop and approximately 90 meters of elevation gain. Each full hour, a new lap begins, and the last runner to complete a lap within the 60-minute time limit wins. The race takes place in Heuchling and is characterized by its open-ended finish, continuing until only one runner remains. The event offers a family-friendly atmosphere with comprehensive catering and a special focus on endurance and community.

Each completed lap up to the 15th lap requires a donation of €1 to the homeless aid, payable upon registration cancellation. Catering for runners is included in the entry fee, and reusable cups are recommended. The FamilyTrail is a separate race for families with a 2.3 km route, starting every 30 minutes, with teams of 2 to 5 people and a minimum age of 5 years for children. The FamilyTrail begins on Saturday at 10:00 AM with a briefing at 9:45 AM. Tents and pavilions can be set up from 10:00 AM.
