Race description
The Burger Roland Run is a traditional race that usually takes place in Burg and is organized jointly by the Roland Gymnasium Burg and the LG Ihleläufer Burg. The course runs through the city along the Ihle, through the forest, and past the Bismarck Tower, with a finish at the schoolyard of the Gymnasium. In addition to the athletic competition, participants can enjoy a lively supporting program with live music, children's activities, and refreshments. In 2026, the event in Burg was canceled due to lack of approval; instead, a replacement event will be held in the Tangerhütte city park.
